The U.S. took to launching an airstrike in southern Somalia hitting targets that are thought to be hiding suspects in the 1988 bombings of 2 U.S. embassies. It is reported that many people were killed in the actions.
Neither White House nor the Pentagon would confirm the attacks.

Bush on Wednesday will announce a new war strategy and is expected to call for as many as 20,000 additional troops, according to several senators briefed by the president on Monday.
A day before Bush's nationally televised speech describing his proposal, Sen. Edward Kennedy (news, bio, voting record), a longtime critic of Bush and the war, will propose legislation denying him the billions needed to send more troops to war unless Congress agrees first. Though it was unclear whether the bill would ever reach the full Senate, it could at least serve as a rallying point for the most insistent foes of the Iraq conflict. ( More Here )

Bush is bound and determined to keep the United States stuck in Iraq until he leaves office! Maybe we should all get together and lead him on his way out! The Democrats starting impeachment proceedings is a good place to start!
