The Vanguard Conservative Website.

Robert Novak, a conservative columnist, reported over the weekend that TheVanguard.org hired Jerome Corsi as a senior political strategist.

The Vanguard is a new right-wing advocacy group which describes itself as a online community of Americans who believe in conservative values an Novak says it is right-wing version of the leftist MoveOn.Org.

Corsi is one of the characters that helped launch the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth attacks against Sen. Kerry, back in 2004 and will probably attempt to do the same, with Vanguard, against Hillary Clinton.

Corsi is your typical GOP supporting pig who happens to like calling people names and making up shit about them so we should expect nothing from this group but below the belt bullshit!

So far as The Vanguard is concerned, here is part of their statement of beliefs.

TheVanguard.Org is an online community of Americans who believe in conservative values, the free market and limited government as the best means to bring hope and ever-increasing opportunity to everyone, especially the poorest among us. We empower regular people to exercise their rights and fulfill their civic responsibilities, by organizing with them for effective action; by training candidates and citizens in the nuts and bolts of how to win; and by promoting policy ideas calculated to reshape America and the globe.

At TheVanguard.Org, every member has a voice in what we do, and everyone has a chance to participate. We mean to build a new governing coalition in America based on shared values rather than single issues, where the little guy outweighs the monied establishment. We hope you'll join us too.

Regular people to exercise their rights? Do we still have some of those? they are pulling for the little guy? A GOP group pulling for the little guy is certainly not going to happen in our lifetimes as the GOP and their followers do not even acknowledge the little guy.

I especially liked the message that the chairman (Rod D. Martin) has posted on the site. The message is a good one but since they could not come up with anything on their own to make this message or the site work, they are stealing the tactics of MoveOn.org.

TheVanguard.Org is about a renewed, improved conservative movement, one that leverages all the technological advantages Democrats have mastered to elect a prinipled President and Congress. Together, we'll use the internet to teach MoveOn, Hillary and the left-wing media some lessons they never imagined. We'll teach a few to certain Beltway Republicans too.     Chairman's Message

Of course there is the usual message of we need help now so send us your money but they are not asking for just whatever you can afford to send.

P.S. Our opponents get better at what they're doing every day, and their pockets are very deep. Talk is cheap, but this fight is expensive: I'm counting on you to support our 2008 Plan For Victory today with a secure online contribution today of $50, $100, or even $250. For once, let's take the fight to them.

P.P.S. Oh, and if you're still not sure about us, don't take our word for it. Read what Human Events -- America's most respected conservative journal -- has to say about us in its "The Next MoveOn.org?"

Human Events! Now there's a real trustworthy group for you!

Check out their Board of Advisors. This makes for an interesting group which I may join just for infiltration purposes.

After going over The Vanguard website, I can say that it is most certainly another GOP bullshit laden, trashdump!

Arlen Specter Says Bush Is Not the Decider

By LAURIE KELLMAN, Associated Press Writer

January 30,2007

"I would suggest respectfully to the president that he is not the sole decider," Sen. Arlen Specter ( voting record), R-Pa., said during a hearing on Congress' war powers amid an increasingly harsh debate over Iraq war policy. "The decider is a shared and joint responsibility," Specter said.

"The Constitution makes Congress a coequal branch of government. It's time we start acting like it," said Sen. Russell Feingold, D-Wis., who is chairing a hearing Tuesday on Congress' war powers and forwarding legislation to eventually prohibit funding for the deployment of troops to Iraq.

Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer ( voting record) of California, for example, is a sponsor of a bill that would call for troops to come home in 180 days and allow for a minimum number of forces to be left behind to hunt down terrorists and train Iraqi security forces.

"Read the Constitution," Boxer told her colleagues last week. "The Congress has the power to declare war. And on multiple occasions, we used our power to end conflicts."  Entire Article

Sen. Specter is showing himself to be quite the assailant as of late when it comes to Bush and all of his rhetoric about what he can and cannot do! I never thought I'd see a Republican up in Washington grow some balls!

Now if we could only get these people to actually do something about Bush and the rest of the Crime Family instead of just flapping their jaws and coming up with non-binding resolutions, we might actually start to get excited over all of their discontent with bush!
