Instead Of Asking, The House Should Be Issuing Subpoena's From The Beginning

   So once again, we find our fine cast of characters in the House having to issue subpoena's for information from the United States Department of Injustice ( DoJ ). The Gonzales choir just can't seem to do things the easy way, can they?  I guess that it is a good thing that they cannot be charged with obstruction of justice by the House, as this is exactly what they are doing. So are the rest of the Bush Crime Family.

   The house says that they have been patient in waiting for the DoJ to provide more records to them concerning the attorney purge and that they have gotten tired of the waiting.

   My question is, why did the subpoena's not get issued from the start instead of asking for them in a nice manner? Are these not investigations which may ( do ) involve criminal activity? Quit asking people to testify and quit asking for documents and just go ahead and issue the subpoena's and let's get the shit over with!

   Along the same lines, House Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Henry A. Waxman is requesting that Condi ( Candy ) Rice appear  before his panel on April 18 to answer a few questions about the Bush administrations claims that Iraq tried to buy uranium from Niger before the United States invaded Iraq.   Source

    Once again Mr. Waxman, forget the sending letters bullshit and send the subpoena's instead! I think you would get results a little faster that way.

   Forget the Mr. Nice gut bullshit and get on with things. This isn't a cocktail party that you are inviting these hoods to, it's an investigation! Use the subpoena power!

Bush Invites Democrats To Be Badgered At White House

"The president is vetoing the bill to provide money for soldiers -- readiness, health care, armaments, etc and a timeline to get out of Iraq."

    So the Idiot in Chief invited the Democrats to talk about the ongoing debate over the Bush war-spending bill, but Bush said that he will not change his mind about troop withdrawals.

  Bush had a few things to say while he was flapping his face at to an American Legion audience in Fairfax, Va.

"It's time for them to get the job done, so I'm inviting congressional leaders from both parties — both political parties — to meet with me at the White House next week."

"At this meeting, the leaders in Congress can report on progress on getting an emergency spending bill to my desk. We can discuss the way forward on a bill that is a clean bill, a bill that funds our troops without artificial timetables for withdrawal and without handcuffing our generals on the ground. I'm hopeful we'll see some results soon from the Congress."

"We're at war.It is irresponsible for the Democratic leadership in Congress to delay for months on end while our troops in combat are waiting for the funds they need to succeed."       Source

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid had a response to Bush's BS.:

"Iraqi leaders are not willing to take the political risk of governing their own country. That must change. That's what Congress is demanding. That is what the American people, by a large majority, demand. And the president should be leading us in that direction, not threatening to veto funding for our troops unless we rubber stamp his flawed plan."

   It's funny how Bush wants a clean bill since it is now the Democrats writing the rules. Where was his concern when his rubber-stamp Congress was porking bills left and right? Oh never mind. I forgot that they were all helping to line each others pockets and helping their friends grow richer at the same time.

   If Bush wants to see results from Congress soon, then maybe he should just sit at the table and let them slap the crap out of him for awhile. That would be a start in the "getting results " area. At the same time, the Democrats should set a withdrawal date for Bush himself, and Cheney, and Rice. I'm not talking about the end of his term either.
