John McCain, Still An Idiot!

  From excerpts of a speech to be given today at the Virginia Military Institute.

Sen. John McCain: "Democrats, who deny our soldiers the means to prevent an American defeat, have chosen another road. It may appear to be the easier course of action but it is a much more reckless one."

    Someone with some real intelligence should let Mr. McCain know that the United States lost in Iraq from the first day that Bush put us in the country and we are losing it still and we will be losing it tomorrow.

     Resident Bush himself defeated the United States in Iraq from the start because this ' war ' was not designed to be won.

"Our defeat in Iraq would constitute a defeat in the war against terror and extremism, and would make the world a much more dangerous place."

  Once again, it is his pal in the White house who has succeeded in making the world a more dangerous place.

   McCain asked the American public for patience and for the people to give Bush's escalation a chance. You know the story! Same old shit with even the same cover on it because these clowns have run out of their catch-phrases of the week.

   I think that the American public has been more than patient with this president ( ? ) and his horde of followers. Let us get our troops out of Iraq and Bush/Cheney out of the White House, and John McCain back to the retirement home in Arizona before he hurts himself.

Voter Fraud Report Altered To Suit Republicans

    Once again, it looks as if the Republicans can't deal with the facts. In this case it would be with voter fraud. Or, put simply, another report has been altered in an attempt to come to the conclusion which the GOP wanted to have before the public.

WASHINGTON, April 10 — A federal panel responsible for conducting election research played down the findings of experts who concluded last year that there was little voter fraud around the nation, according to a review of the original report obtained by The New York Times.

Instead, the panel, the Election Assistance Commission, issued a report that said the pervasiveness of fraud was open to debate.

The revised version echoes complaints made by Republican politicians, who have long suggested that voter fraud is widespread and justifies the voter identification laws that have been passed in at least two dozen states.

And two weeks ago, the panel faced criticism for refusing to release another report it commissioned concerning voter identification laws. That report, which was released after intense pressure from Congress, found that voter identification laws designed to fight fraud can reduce turnout, particularly among members of minorities. In releasing that report, which was conducted by a different set of scholars, the commission declined to endorse its findings, citing methodological concerns.

      Even election law experts have come to the conclusion that accusations of widespread fraud are unfounded.

     This is where that little Congressional thing called oversight should come into play, once again. This is pretty sad when an administration has a new scandal or criminal activity come to the surface on an almost daily basis.

   Tell you one thing. After having to put up with the lies and deceit and the crookedness of this administration for the past six years, this is freaking great!  Nail their sorry asses to the wall! Investigate, investigate, and then investigate some more!
