Republicans: When you Have No Argument, Resort To Lies And More Lies

"The president is vetoing the bill to provide money for soldiers -- readiness, health care, armaments, etc and a timeline to get out of Iraq."

'The president is vetoing the bill to set a timeline to get out of Iraq.'"

You knew that it was coming sooner or later and it appears that now is the time for the Repugnicans to go to plan 'b' or 'c' or 'd' or...

I'm talking about the Republican attack ads that are set to come out today on radio taking Harry Reid to task for treating U.S. troops as "political football."

A transcript of one ad has a veteran of Iraq ( Capt. Trip Bellard ) saying, "Senator Reid's remarks undercut the morale of our soldiers and undermine our troops on the ground."    Source

So how much did Bush and the rest of the hoods pay this man to come up with this shit?

Vice Resident Cheney said that Senate Leader Harry Reid was pursuing a defeatist strategy to win votes in the next election.

Harry Reid or the rest of the Democrats do not have to pull this kind of crap just to get more votes in the 2008 elections because the Republicans are handing the White House to the Democrats all on their own. The Democrats couldn't have a better gift!

Cheney: "Some Democratic leaders seem to believe that blind opposition to the new strategy in Iraq is good politics.Sen. Reid himself has said that the war in Iraq will bring his party more seats in the next election. It is cynical to declare that the war is lost because you believe it gives you political advantage."         Yahoo News

On the troop funding Resident Bush said:

"I'm disappointed that the Democratic leadership has chosen this course.     They chose to make a political statement. That's their right but it is wrong for our troops and it's wrong for our country. To accept the bill proposed by the Democratic leadership would be to accept a policy that directly contradicts the judgment of our military commanders."

Bush seems to have a major cases of selective memory as it was the new Iraq commander, his own Gen. David Petraeus, who recently said that Iraq does require a political solution.

Democrats have argued that the election that left Democrats in control of Congress was a referendum for a change of strategy in Iraq. Bush used the same election results to argue his point.

"The American people did not vote for failure," he said. "That is precisely what the Democratic leadership's bill would guarantee.

"It's not too late for Congress to do the right thing."

I may have to buy myself a pair of those rose colored glasses that Bush wears. This man is so far out from reality that he makes the Twilight Zones look closer than he is.

                    IMPEACH! INDICT! IMPRISON!
