Naval Buildup in the Gulf for Iran?

A senior Defense Department official said on Tuesday that the D.D. is thinking of a buildup of U.S. Navy forces in the Gulf as a show of force against Iran.

The idea is to send a second aircraft carrier to the area in the midst of rising tensions with Iran, blamed for encouraging sectarian violence in neighboring Iraq as well as for allegedly pursuing a nuclear weapons program.

The aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower is already in the area. It left the U.S. for the area back in September escorted by 4 other ships and submarines with a total of 6,500 sailors.

I did a post on this very same issue back in October dealing with our buildup that has in fact been going on much longer than announced on Tuesday.

Although I have lost the original story, I do have the link to my information source at Global Research. Check it out!
